No perp. walk for Charlie Sheen in Aspen

Charlie Sheen avoided hordes of national media cameras outside the Pitkin County Courthouse in Aspen.  He and his wife Brooke were wisked away through an underground tunnel to their waiting escape vehicles, while the camera-men waited for naught.  AspenSpin was in on the ruse while more than 50 "media types" waited outside.  Entertainment Tonight , E!, The Insider, TMZ , they all fell for the oldest trick in the scrolls.

Inside the courtroom Charlie handled his "procedural matter"-- a class 5 felony and 2 misdemeanors and will be back in Aspen on March 15.  The personal protection order separating Charlie from his love was lifted.  Brooke had the same far away look in her eye as do many Aspen hotties--- when they are forced to fly commercial---- the double valium stare. Charlie looked slick in a black suit and tinted specs.

The courtroom was under super-high security--no cameras or phones allowed.   About 30 members of the media were present, 10 Lawyers and only 4 from the general public. The PR spin starts early. Stan Rosenfeld, flack for Charlie Sheen in Aspen, Colorado.

Snow Biz / SIA Virgin

High SocietySnowsports Industry Association (SIA) is a tighly knit group.  Its like a fraternity or a brotherhood/sisterhood bonded by POWDER and goretex.  A rite of passage for snowsports pros is attending the SIA Snow Show. SIA has always been in Las Vegas, until now, 2010 is the first time SIA held its trade show in Denver.   Ideally the brainiacs behind SIA would've found dates just prior to or after ESPN's X Games....but instead several "industry" people were takin' laps on I-70 instead of on the Gondola  in Aspen last week.  AspenSpin was one of them.

We attended our first SIA trade show---as a pledge...... a virgin. Our boi-ieees at HIGH SOCIETY FREERIDE allowed us to freeride the admission fee and get a head start on next years stuff. We re-connected with our homies from INDO BOARD balance trainers----siiiiick.  About 18,000 people attended SIA in Denver.  We spent 3 hours (cause we drive fast) getting there, 4 hours back and only 3 hours at the show.  Was it worth it?? It was a long day.  We took some great pix, met some cool people, scored tons o' free stuff ... but we'd trade it all for one sick POWDER day.

The Golden Triangle / X Games 14 (Day 4)

When AspenSpin.com refers to the Golden Triangle, we're usually talkin' 'bout Facebook, Twitter and our blog.  This weekend in Aspen, Colorado the Golden Triangle consists World Class Athletes, X Games and GOING HUGE.  Sunday 10 more Gold Medals were earned, a HIGH AIR WORLD RECORD was set ( yeah!!!
