Oktoberfest
Who says Oktoberfest can't be celebrated in September? St. Mary's Church hosted the whole town for a traditional BBQ, and even brought the entertainment in from (shhh) Vail.
-
Indian Summer
Alex, fresh off his stint @ Burning Man, eyeballed the vixen Natalia pool side. Natalia didn't seem to mind his intense stare.
-

Top Producers
Smith Barney's top producers in the country were rewarded with 5 days in beautiful Aspen. Maxine Moody, Ziad Habayeb and Darren Blake got rowdy at altitude. How 'bout some hot IPO's for your favorite ski bum.
-
No Worries
Bear's gone, Lehman failed and Merrill is now B of A , but that didn't stop this group of Smith Barney honcho's from partying like it was 1999.
-
Penalty Flag
Referee, Robert Chypher dipped his whistle in beer prior to each and every match at The Aspen's Club's Dodgeball Tournament. Are the results official even if the ref. is blasted?----apparently so.
-
Champions
The Noon-Groomers won the whole thing at the Aspen Club's Dodgeball Tournament. They also received the prize for best costume---you could say THEY DOMINATED.
-
Huge Upset
The Aspen Club squad was the "stacked" pre-tourney favorite, but did not perform up to expectations. Their camo jerseys were cool ---and they did win the party (keep on clickin')---soooo maybe next year.
-
Team Jerome
The D-ballers from the Hotel Jerome looked "pretty corporate" in their freshly pressed linens accented by gang paraphernalia. Vail Resorts must be so proud.
-
Team Gusto
Gusto restaurant fielded a strong dodgeball team, but slinging pasta did not prepare them for the intense competition they faced @ The Aspen Club's DodgeBall Tournament.
-
Booty Machine
The Booty Machine was "the team to beat" in the early rounds. They couldn't take their d-ball game to the next level and finished in the middle of the pack.
-
Sotheby's Skidz
Sotheby's Real Estate fielded a team of highly dodgy players ----but they just couldn't ball. Captain Raifie Bass admitted "we were out hustled, out dodged and out played in every facet of the game". They left with a perfect 0-3 record but sporting huge smiles.
-
Second Place (again)
Perennial runner's up, The Little Nell had a deep bench packed with power and skill----but just like last time they failed to convert in the finals.
-
Victory!!
The Noon Groomer's tried to act "all laid back & sh*t", but they were fierce competitors. They picked-off their opponents one by one until no one was left standing.
-
Good Flow
Once the Dodgeball Tournament was over, the drinking games began. Host team, The Aspen Club, easily won the party.
-
Keg Stand
Michigan State Alum and Aspen Club hottie A.D. showed the crowd her keg stand prowess. In the olden days, this stunt was known as a "moon-chug".

Race Camp
12 Hours of Snowmass is a new event. With Lance Armstrong in the mix, it became a HUGE event in the biking world. Solo riders, Duos and 3 -person squads pumped continuous laps up and down Snowmass Mountain. The course was 7 miles long and "only" had an elevation gain of 1,591 vertical feet.
Sound Fun? "One lap is enough to kill you" gasped one rider. Participants described the course as "intense", "technical" and "a good crank". -
The Vanilla Gorilla
Endurance biking legend and mountain biking Hall of Famer, Dave Wiens, a.k.a the Vanilla Gorilla. He topped Lance Armstrong earlier this summer to win his 6th Leadville 100. If you rode 100 miles at 10,000 ft you'd be a gorilla too.
Lance and his team prevailed over Wiens' Team Beaver Creek in the inaugural 12 hours of Snowmass. -
Lance Armstrong in Aspen
Lance Armstrong had his game face on, but we got a little smile out of him when we told him we were shooting for AspenSpin.com.
-
Out of Retirement
LA was chomping at the bit to get on-course at the inaugural 12 hours of Snowmass.
-
Fastest Lap
Taking the tag from teammate and local cycle-killa Max Taam (right), Lance Armstrong was all business, once he was in the saddle. The race was a benefit for two worthy non-profits Aspen Youth Center and Extreme Sports Camp .
-
Rapetti Rides
Local rider Michael Rapetti was thrilled to compete with Lance Armstrong at the 12 hours of Snowmass. Rapetti looks pretty fresh after his first lap. Only 11 more hours of hard core, uphill, single track riding to go.
-
Crank Girlz
They may look soft and sweet, but these ladies fully cranked it ,all day long. Sonya, Amy and Sari had a blast @ 12 Hours of Snowmass.
-
Course Record
Lance Armstrong about to tag off to his teammate, Len Zanni (L) after completing the fastest lap in the competition.
-
