"Wintersculpt" is always interesting. Teams have 48 hours to create a snow sculpture from an 8'x8'x8' snow cube. This team called themselves "DEAD SEXY".

Aspen's Royal Family
Ralph and Marian Melville with their son Craig and daughter-in-law Teresa at the ACRA WinterSkol Luncheon at the St. Regis. Ralph and Marian were named King and Queen of WinterSkol 09. They've owned and operated the Mountain Chalet Lodge in Aspen since the 50's.

Emerging Business of the Year
Timberline Bank was named Aspen's Emerging Business of the Year. Jacque Schoon, Mike Taets and Jim Pedersen proudly accepted the award.

Aspen Business of the Year
Charles Cunniffe's architectural firm was named Aspen Business of the Year by ACRA. ACRA Board members Carol Hood and Helen Klanderud helped him celebrate his victory.

Non-Profit of the Year
Aspen Youth Experience took home the coveted Aspen Non-profit of the Year award. The AYE team, Nancy DiBiaggio, AYE Exec. Director, David Wiedinmyer, with David and Robin Goodman accepted the award on "behalf of the AYE kids"

Bad Billy's @ SoupSkol
SoupSkol is a huge crowd favorite. About 25 restaurants served up free soup for the whole town. SoupSkol 09 set an attendance record, as more than 3000 people enjoyed the soup and camaraderie in the streets of Aspen. Bad Billy's is a new playa in town, and we're gonna go ahead and call them Bad (A$$) Billy's because their food is so good (and moderately priced). Here's Michael Goldman, Scott Brassington and Brent Reed giving up the goods @ SoupSkol.

Chef Clark Church (C hat) from Garnish Cafe @ The Aspen Club and his team won their 3rd straight SoupSkol competition. Church's Chowdah was hearty and hot and served with a smile.

Veteran ski pro Bob Kujda joined Katrina Strecker from EatAspen.com to sample the soups. EatAspen.com is the top on-line restaurant guide in Aspen. EatAspen's data base contains menus, reviews and direct links to all of the Valley's restaurants.

If you ride Ajax, you'll know this group of lovely ladies. The Ladies who Scan are all from Argentina, and they all scored plum jobs running the lifts on Aspen Mountain. (L to R) Dolores, Vicky, Angie and Maria always scan with a smile.

Johnny McGuires set a new standard when they won SoupSkol a few years back. They also kidnapped the SoupSkol Caldron Trophy in protest one year. They are always in the competative mix @ SoupSkol. Jero and Rory doled out their steamy hot tortilla soup---mmmmmm it was goooooood.
