Chris Klug welcomed TEAM JOYFUL to his 3rd annual Summit 4 Life Uphill on Aspen Mountain. Karie, Wendy, Susie and Katy were certainly the best dressed squad to compete in the 3,267 ft uphill race. Click Summit 4 Life for more info.

Heart Transplant
Kelly and Craig Perkins from Cali made the climb to the top of Aspen Mountain. Kelly's heart transplant occurred 13 years ago, and she's still tickin'. Hit: The Climb of My Life to see her story.

Sundog and Mrs. Klug
Erik Skarvan got a hug from Kathy Klug ( Chris' Mom) at the start. Skarvan CEO and top dog @ SunDog Athletics is also host of TV's The Locals Show. Mrs. Klug pledged to raise $12,500 and do the hike at next years Summit 4 Life.

Who knew Frank (the Tank) McDonald was a world class uphill skinny-skier. His impressive showing at Summit 4 Life took just 1:00:10.

Top seeded competitor Elliott Larson was joined by Butch Peterson from Super Human Mag. just prior to the competitive start.

Missy, Donna and Elle were ready for action @ the Summit 4 Life. Not only did they hike a mile uphill---they looked good doing it.

Euro Suit
Ajax ski patroller Max Taam broke out his one-piece Orange Euro-suit for the occasion. A couple of the Yaws, Fletcher and Valerie, kept him warm prior to the start. Max finished 5th, not bad for a guy who spent his day workin' Aspen Mountain.

At the Top
Event host and big-time rider Jesse Wright, CEO of Wright Visions welcomed Ron Goldberg (orange hat) of Fla to the top. Chron Ron was not drug tested at the top, but his hiking performance was difficult to fathom. Was it "clean"? Doubtful. Bill Tomcich, the President of StayAspenSnowmass, was clean and he booked a respectable time. Eddie Liebowitz is the smart one, he rode the Gondy up.

A short hike
This group of fitness freaks made the trek in about an hour. Stephanie Philosophos, Bill Fabrocini, Tommy Ogden and Rob Bordan killed it. They all have one thing in common-- they train at The Aspen Club.

Donor Dudes
Michael David Cook from The Aspen Club joined a happy group of hikers. Michael Hung (Utah), Thomas Clark (Texas) and Brian Holcomb (Utah). Clark and Holcomb are each organ transplant recipients. All 3 were thrilled and proud to participate in Summit for Life, Donor Dudes and Chris Klug Foundation

The team from The Aspen Club accorded themselves well at Summit 4 Life. Nicole, Alaina, Erin and Michael David stomped the uphill and raised $$$ and awarness for organ and tissue donation.

Hard Core Hotties
Emily Titera and Kathy Fry are hard core. They trudged through the snow for 3,267 vertical feet to the top of Aspen Mountain. After all that hard work they still looked awfully beguiling at the top.

Organ Transplant Recipients
All the folks on stage have received the gift of life through organ donations. Taking center stage along with Olympian Chris Klug, are organ recipients Brian, Tom, Kelly and Robbie.

Michael Wells just celebrated the 9th anniversary of his transplant. Kelly Perkins' new heart is 13 yrs old. See her story at Climb of my Life.

Although the video crew looks like the 3 Stooges, their film production for the Chris Klug Foundation is quite compelling. Mugging for A-Spin's digital lens are Joel Lee, Mike Papi (fundraising champ) and James Bradley.

The AVSC Winter WhiteOut was a formal affair. Former Olympic skiers Andy Mill and David Gorsuch had a few remarks for the well-heeled and well lubricated SRO crowd at the Hotel Jerome.

Nancy Mayer and Suzanne Leydecker turned up the heat at the AVSC Winter Whiteout.

It's your birthday
It may look like attorneys Gerry Goldstein and Diana Ettlinger are discussing some important and complex legal issues at the AVSC event. In reality they're just celebrating with Jared Ettlinger on his birthday. Rumor has it that Jared did not make the first Gondy on Sunday.

Skiing Royalty
David and Renie Gorsuch are skiing Royalty. Both are former Olympic skiers and members of the Colorado Skiing Hall of Fame. Their namesake retail chain, Gorsuch, Ltd. is the standard bearer for ski shops worldwide. They too, rocked it hard at AVSC.

All Star Team
All the Aspen All-Stars came out for AVSC. Two of the greatest skiers of all time, Casey Puckett and Chris Davenport turned it up a notch at AVSC's Winter Whiteout.

Relax Bro
Johno and Sunshine McBride look pretty relaxed at AVSC. Johno has good reason to relax after coaching Bode Miller to the overall World Cup Championship last year. Johno seems quite content to be back in Aspen full time now.
