45 Minutes of Chaos
AspenSpin is usually in prime position when the ski patrol "drops the rope"on Ajax. Tonight we managed to get behind the velvet rope at Dennis Basso FreeStyle 2009. Freestyle is the annual fundraising event for the Aspen Art Museum (AAM). Everybody was there. The après ski event was over the top,as always, and Aspen's Art patrons came from near and far to celebrate the season and out bid their friends.

Decadent drinks and hors d'oeuvres, unparalleled auction items and a super sick fur fashion show brought the SRO crowd to their feet. Hundreds of thousands of dollars was raised for AAM, as the "see and be seen crowd" was spurred on by celebrity auctioneer Simon de Pury.
Freestyle is one of the best events of the Holiday season in Aspen. The 45 minutes of Chaos refers to the onslaught of socialites jockeying for position on the red carpet and at the "turn and repeat" photo station. No one wants to be to early....or to late, so the months and months of planning comes down to 45 minutes of Chaos. A-Spin managed to drop the gore-tex and slip into an Armani suit in order to get all the money $hots. The pix say it all.
