Children of the POW.

Livin' the dream in Aspen feels pretty good.  Giving something back feels even better.  Gorsuch and AVSC geared up about 200 scholarship students from the Roaring Fork Valley.  Each deserving kid got a full set up of skis, boots and poles for the season.  The positive energy at Gorsuch was palpable as Jeff Gorsuch and his crew dialed in a group of thrilled children. Just a few turns down the hill, ACRA hosted their annual Holiday Party at Bumps.  Chamber members partied with a huge pack of super-excited kids who welcomed Santa Claus to Aspen.  Food, drinks and the glowing faces of all the Children made for a festive kick-off to the Holiday Season.

Summit 4 Life

It was another event packed weekend in Aspen. There were 2 major events on Saturday night, and as you know; in addtion to ski bumming, PARTYING is our business. See the latest photos: Click into - SUMMIT 4 LIFE 

Chris Klug hosted the 3rd Annual Summit 4 Life Uphill Climb to raise money and awareness for organ and tissue donation.  Aspen's weather was perfect (for once) and about 300 hearty soles walked up to the apex of Aspen Mountain--- at night, in December.  Everyone had a blast, from the recreational hikers to the super-competitive racers. In honor of Summit 4 Life, Chris and his Dad, Warren, from The Aspen Square Hotel have created a special on-line charity auction.  You can hit the bid to win a one-of-a-kind snow boarding experience with Chris Klug, plus lodging.   The auction is running live through 1/5/09.  Click Charity Buzz to bid it up.

Aspen Local, Bryan Sax Dies - Huge Bummer

Well known Aspen local Bryan Sax died in a mid-air airplane collision on Saturday in Florida.  He was a flight instructor in flight training for an advanced certification.  He was 37.
